About Us

EPIC Extrusion specializes in custom, precision, close tolerance, thin-walled, extruded plastic tubing for medical device companies and related commercial industries. We extrude most thermoplastic materials, including but not limited to, Dynaflex, Grilamid, Hytrel, HDPE, LDPE, Nylon, PEEK, PET, Pebax, Pellethane, Polypropylene, and
Polyurethane.

EPIC has taken the industry standard of utilizing a laser micrometer to maintain the outside diameter one step further by using the Zumbach Ultrasonic UMAC CI Wall Thickness Control System.  This equipment allows our technicians to monitor and control the ID and the OD, as well as wall thickness and ovality, of the tubing and allows for changes, if necessary, in real time.

EPIC utilizes a Mettler Toledo moisture analyzer and Drying Oven to ensure the resin manufacturer’s guidelines for moisture content are met and maintained throughout the extrusion process.  We feel this is not only the first step in the processing of thermoplastic polymers, but the most important step and document these results for traceability. When drying the resin to the manufacturer’s guidelines, EPIC can offer its customers a guaranteed quality process from start to finish.
